Makar Wins Super Premium 'Master' Award in Gin Masters 2018

We’re delighted to reveal that our Makar Original Dry Gin has picked up a 'Master' Award in the 'Super Premium' category at the Gin Masters 2018. Our Makar Oak Aged Gin and Makar Old Tom Gin also picked up silver awards for their respective styles.

In total, The Gin Masters 2018 yielded 19 Masters, 62 Golds and 90 Silver awards across all categories. Our Makar Gin range, which picked up 20 awards in 2017 and has already picked up a total of 16 awards in 2018, was highly regarded by the panel of expert judges during their tasting.

Liam Hughes, our CEO, said: “We are especially delighted that our Makar Original Dry Gin won a 'Master' award in the 'Super Premium' category. In this category alone, only four Masters were awarded, with eight Golds and 13 Silvers named. It is great to hear that our Original Dry Gin impressed the judges with it's “elegant and complex” flavours and “silky” texture."
