What's On

Experience The Glasgow Distillery like never before. Join us at the distillery for a unique behind-the-scenes tour.

Welcome to The Glasgow Distillery Experience!
The moment you've all been waiting for, our distillery is now open for tours.

This isn't your classic distillery tour. This is the chance to spend the afternoon within our hands-on working distillery site, to meet the team behind the production of our award-winning portfolio of whisky, gin, vodka, and rum, and to sample whisky straight from the cask in our on-site cask warehouse.

What to expect
We start in our distillery tasting room with an overview of how we started Glasgow’s first new independent single malt whisky distillery in over 100 years. An introduction to our award-winning portfolio, the stories behind our products, a deep dive into our mission and ethos, all accompanied by the Glasgow Distillery Signature Range.

We will then take a walk-through production: from our on-site lab where our new products are developed, to our distillery production to discuss whisky distillation from start to finish.

Meet our on-site cooper and witness one of the world’s oldest trades in action as he explains and demonstrates why cask maintenance is so important in the whisky production process.

You will get the opportunity to sample whisky directly from a cask in our on-site warehouse.

We will introduce a sample a brand new Distillery Exclusive single malt, available only to those on our Experience tours, alongside two limited edition releases from our Small Batch Series range of single malts.

In summary:
- Sampling whisky from the cask in our warehouse
- Walk through production from start to finish in the Distillery
- Two-hour immersive experience, limited to 8 people at a time, in a working distillery
- Introduction to our distillery in our Tasting Room
- Coopering demonstration
- Sampling 7 whiskies in total, with an option to try further products from our wider portfolio of gin, vodka, and rum

The Glasgow Distillery Warehouse Experience

Step beyond the bottle and into the heart of our warehouse for a truly immersive Glasgow Distillery experience.

Your visit begins surrounded by casks, where you’ll be welcomed with a dram from our Glasgow 1770 Signature Range, served at our warehouse bar. This is a standing-led experience, with seating available if required.

After a brief introduction to The Glasgow Distillery and the whisky in your glass, we’ll take a short look into the distillery itself, explaining our equipment and how our whisky is made. From there, you’ll move to the cask filling station to witness a cask being filled and taste our new make spirit, offering a rare glimpse into whisky at its very beginning.

Following the whisky’s journey, we’ll return to the warehouse for an introduction to our cask programme. You’ll learn about the different cask types we use, how we monitor our experimental stock, and enjoy a taste of the sherry or wine that previously seasoned some of our casks.

The experience then reaches its peak as you gather around the casks themselves.

In total, you’ll enjoy six drams, as well as our new make spirit and a glass to take home with you.

Tickets: £55
