Meet The Team

As Founder, Mike oversees every aspect of the distillery, leading its strategic, commercial and operational direction. He works closely with the Senior Management Team to guide the business, while remaining hands-on across production, cask and raw material sourcing, and portfolio development. As head of our Blending Team, Mike shapes the vision for our whiskies and wider spirits portfolio, balancing innovation with an unwavering commitment to quality.

Seb leads the global sales, marketing and brand strategy for the distillery, growing our presence in markets around the world. With over nine years as part of the team, he is a member of the Senior Management Team and combines commercial expertise with a deep understanding of our brands. Seb also serves on the distillery's Blending Team, helping shape the development of our whisky portfolio.

If you've read one of our social posts or seen us at a whisky festival, you've more than likely seen Libby's work. Under the direction of Seb, she looks after all things communication, both in person and online. Libby helps organise and deliver our events programme, ensuring we spread the Glasgow Distillery love as much as we can across the globe.

Hugh, mostly known as Shug within the team, is our on-site Cooper and a true master of his craft. If he's not preparing and repairing casks, he's filling them for maturation or assessing the latest delivery of casks for our experimental releases. Shug also co-hosts tours within the distillery as well as deliveries to our local retailers across the Central Belt, making him an essential part of our production, quality and community relationships.

Alex leads our distilling team, overseeing every stage of production from mashing and distillation through to maturation and the final spirit. With over eight years at the distillery, he combines technical expertise with a hands-on approach to ensure quality and consistency are at the heart of everything we produce. As a member of the distillery's Blending Team, Alex also plays a key role in shaping our whisky portfolio.

Alison keeps everything moving behind the scenes, ensuring our products reach customers near and far. She oversees the logistics of all orders, be they export or domestic; manages stock; and keeps the day‑to‑day office operations running smoothly. With a keen eye for detail and an organised approach, Alison plays a vital role in maintaining the flow of the distillery from cask to customer.
