Meet The Team

As Founder, Mike works tirelessly behind the scenes, overseeing the financial foundations of the business and steering our long‑term vision. Mike also plays a key role in sourcing and managing casks for our experimental Small Batch Series, allowing us to push boundaries and explore new flavours while staying true to our craft and head sup the Blending Team. 

Seb leads sales and marketing across all global markets, ensuring our whisky reaches fans around the world. With over nine years as part of the distillery team, Seb’s deep understanding of the brand is matched by his creativity and commercial insight. He is also a member of our whisky‑blending team, helping shape the character of our releases.

If you've read one of our social posts or seen us at a whisky festival, you've more than likely seen Libby's work. Under the direction of Seb, she looks after all things communication, both in person and online. Libby helps organise and deliver our events programme, ensuring we spread the Glasgow Distillery love as much as we can across the globe.

Hugh, mostly known as Shug within the team, is our on-site Cooper and a true master of his craft. If he's not preparing and repairing casks, he's filling them for maturation or assessing the latest delivery of casks for our experimental releases. Shug also delivers tours within the distillery as well as deliveries to our local retailers across the Central Belt, making him an essential part of our production, quality and community relationships.

Alex leads not only the distilling team, but every stage of the distilling process, right through to the final product as part of the blending team with Mike and Seb. With a hands-on approach and eight years in the distillery under his belt, he ensures quality and consistency are at the core of everything we produce.

Alison keeps everything moving behind the scenes, ensuring our whisky reaches customers near and far. She oversees the logistics of all orders, be they export or domestic; manages stock; and keeps the day‑to‑day office operations running smoothly. With a keen eye for detail and an organised approach, Alison plays a vital role in maintaining the flow of the distillery from cask to customer.
