Glasgow Distillery Nominated For Scottish Whisky & Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year

We are delighted to announce that The Glasgow Distillery has reached the finals across fourteen business and taste categories at this years Scottish Whisky Awards and Scottish Gin Awards.

We are particularly thrilled to be in the running for the 'ultimate award' and 'highest accolade' across both competitions: 'Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year' and 'Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year', alongside twelve other business and taste categories.

Liam Hughes, CEO and Co-Founder of The Glasgow Distillery said:

"We really are so pleased to have reached the finals across fourteen categories at both the Scottish Whisky and Scottish Gin Awards this year.

"Considering we only launched our first single malt at the end of 2018 and we have just launched the third single malt to complete our Glasgow 1770 Signature Range this year, we are incredibly humbled that we are up there with some of the world's best loved whiskies and well-known distilleries, such as Ardbeg Distillery and Glenallachie Distillery!

"Our latest release, Malt Riot Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, has also reached the finals for the 'Blended Malt Under 12 Years Old' taste category and for 'Excellence in Branding', which is fantastic to see.

"We're equally as thrilled that our Makar Gin range continues to be so well received at every Scottish Gin Awards, particularly as the Scottish gin market has seen hundreds of new additions over the last few years.

"With the global pandemic hitting the world in March and the announcement of subsequent lockdowns since, it's been a hard year for all so this has come as welcome news and we cannot wait to celebrate as a team, albeit virtually!"
