Glasgow 1770 Peated wins GOLD at the China Wine & Spirits Awards.

We’re thrilled to share that the Glasgow 1770 Peated has picked up a Gold Medal at the 2021 China Wine & Spirits Awards. The CWSA are the most prestigious in China and Hong Kong, with the expert panel of judges consisting of the country’s top professional wine and spirits buyers. A blind tasting is conducted by spirit type and results are collated, with only the best spirits in each category winning a medal. The CWSA results are a benchmark for the country and we’re thrilled to have won gold! 

Glasgow 1770 Peated is our heavily peated single malt whisky which is matured in fresh virgin oak casks and then finished in sumptuous Pedro Ximénez Sherry hogsheads. The result is a rich and smoky whisky with notes of bright vanilla, toffee, dried dark fruits and salted caramel, all underpinned by the signature sweet smoky spice which gives such great complexity and character to this dram.
