1770 Whisky
Attention to Detail
Tuesday 27th January 2026A Deep Dive into our Whisky Labels
Throughout the year at The Glasgow Distillery, we split our production year into three different styles of whisky making: double distilled unpeated, double distilled peated and triple distilled unpeated.
Our Glasgow 1770 Signature Range showcases these three core styles of new-make spirit as The Original, Peated and Triple Distilled. The Glasgow 1770 Small Batch Series builds on this foundation, allowing us to take these three styles and explore their potential through varied and exciting cask maturations.

At The Glasgow Distillery, authenticity, transparency and accessibility sit at the heart of everything we do.
Transparency, in particular, is fundamental to the Glasgow 1770 Small Batch Series. We aim to give you, our customers, as much information as possible so you know exactly what has gone into creating the whisky in your glass.
The Small Batch Series was born from our team’s natural curiosity. As self-confessed whisky enthusiasts, we are driven to understand how our spirit behaves across a wide spectrum of casks and finishes. The result is whisky made not only for our fellow ‘geeks’, but also for those approaching single malt from other spirits categories, such as tequila, fruit spirits like Cognac and Calvados or perhaps even beer drinkers.
Presenting such 'experimental' whiskies to our curious customers, we try to provide as much information on the bottles as possible so you, the drinker, can truly understand the whisky within. The intention is that any question that may arise from our customers is already answered on the label and carton.

Every bottling in the series features a distinctive colour pathway that corresponds to the cask type used, helping customers quickly identify the whisky’s profile. From deep burgundies and rich ambers for wine and sherry casks to lighter colours for more vibrant and elegant styles such as Calvados and Tequila casks, each design element has been considered to evoke the whisky’s character. These packaging choices make the collection visually impactful and easy to navigate.
Each bottle and its accompanying secondary packaging carry detailed information about the cask type, distillation date, bottling date, cask number, ABV, and more, giving our customers as much insight as possible into what’s in their glass. This not only empowers enthusiasts and collectors but also reinforces our commitment to quality, openness, and traceability.
