New Orleans Gin Fizz

The New Orleans Gin Fizz is a taste of warmer climates. Exotic and creamy with a texture reminiscent of fluffy clouds, the velvety rich texture of Makar Old Tom partners perfectly with citrus and cream to create a beautifully indulgent treat perfect for the end of summer.

Created in 1888 by Henry Charles Ramos at the Imperial Cabinet Saloon on the corner of Gravier and Carondelet in New Orleans, the weekend is calling with this in hand.

The recipe
Ingredients

60ml Makar Old Tom Gin
One-half lime freshly squeezed
One-half lemon freshly squeezed
20ml Sugar Syrup
Orange flower water
One egg white
30ml single cream
Topped with soda water
Method:

Vigorously shake all ingredients except the soda water with ice in a cocktail shaker.
Dry shake (without ice) for 10 - 15 seconds and fine strain into a chilled glass.
Top with soda water
Garnish with orange with mint
Enjoy
