Glasgow 1770 Cask Strength The Original
A limited edition release of our flagship single malt, The Original, presented at a natural cask strength. For Batch 02, we’ve selected three casks that we feel epitomise what The Original should be – bold and fruit-forward with a rich caramel and toffee spine throughout. The whisky within these three casks has initially been matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks before finishing in virgin American white oak.
These three casks resulted in only 750 bottles available at a natural strength of 59.5% ABV.

The Experience
Tasting Notes
Nose
On the nose, zesty Seville orange marmalade and dried apricot open up to toffee apple and dark fruit spice with notes of freshly planed oak.
Palate
The palate is rich and full bodied with fruity notes of poached pears, tropical fruit and toasted pineapple accompanied by biscuit malt and hints of marzipan, clove and anise.
Finish
The finish is long lasting with lingering notes of flamed orange peel, rich woody spice and a gentle touch of liquorice.
