Glasgow Kiss

Makar Gin

Glasgow Kiss

With a flavour like no other, Makar is small batch distilled seven times to develop its distinctive, juniper-led smoothness in a copper pot still called Annie, right here in Glasgow.

As it's National Kissing Day, we thought we'd share this sweet cocktail recipe for The Glasgow Kiss made with Makar Old Tom, poured by Teo from Gin 71 bar. This traditional style of gin dates back to the 18th Century. The bold juniper of Makar is complemented with orange peel, almonds and finished with a little honey to give a slightly sweeter style of gin that is perfect for classic cocktails like the Tom Collins and Martinez.

Makar challenged Gin 71 to use Old Tom in a cocktail and the gin geniuses have crafted this seasonal beauty. Recreate this fruity classic at home or let them pour you one from the bar.
